If grandma loves flowers, one fun idea is to take several small photos of your children and cut them into flower shapes. Then get several of the picks that hold message cards in a bouquet, and put a cut out photograph on each one. Dispose these picks within the bouquet artfully. Its a great idea, and it combines two of grandma's favorite things; photos of the grandchildren and flowers!
There are also a ton of great ideas about how your children can make their own gifts for their grandmas! For instance, you can cover their hands in paint, and have them make hand prints in a circle, production flower shapes, creating a unique 'garden' picture.
Or, a great idea that takes less than an hour to unblemished is to make a flip card about grandma! You will need markers, crayons, or paint, binder rings, and colored index cards. Let the children decorate each index card with messages and pictures for grandma. After they are done, punch holes in the top of each card and use the binder rings to hold them together. If your children are not sure what to draw, they could draw their favorite memory with grandma, or things she likes, or write about activities that they want to do with her.
Another handcrafted idea is to originate a jewelry box or a formula box for grandma. Use glue on jewels, foam cut outs, or cut out strips of colorful building paper to decorate a small box (you can get them at craft stores). And grandma would adore getting such a thoughtful Mothers Day gift!
